I will always find it incredible how talented Jun'ya Ota (ZUN) is. From starting in college with a group of friends on what was nothing but a small side project, that would turn into the touhou project. After taking the mantle for himself he would have to follow all aspects of game design by himself, a story, the script and coding, visuals, UI, and what I personally find he excels the most at, is music. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an indie developer put so much love and time to their craft as much as ZUN. It’s really inspiring how even during development of a game he still takes his time to create separate soundtrack and records which aren’t even part of the games. ZUN’s compositions are rich in rhythm, melody, harmony, key signature, chords, beats, pace and overwhelming amount of musical variety. May I add that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video game series with this much MUSICAL VARIETY EVER. Touhou music transcends the boundaries of what it can be arranged and adapted to, from orchestral, folk, or even classical to literal rock, electronic, and hell even medieval chanting. While Magic of Life may be a composition from bygone era, I am glad that ZUN has now returned back to making music cd’s with 七夕坂夢幻能　〜 Taboo Japan Disentanglement, after what has been the longest time since Old Adam Bar was released. I love how they added slight overdrive to the guitar for a jazzy and rather realistic accent. It sounds nice with and/or without distortion anyway.

I love how this is a 90's synth module, yet they already decided to add distortion for realism

I love how there's no effects and no fret noises yet it sounds at least a bit realistic.
